Mr. Bojjala Gopalakrishna, the former minister and a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader passed away after suffering from a prolonged illness.  He was being treated at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad and took his last breath on the 6th of May, Friday.

Upon hearing the demise of Mr. Bojjala Gopalakrishna, Mr. Nara Chandrababu, the National President of the TDP and party leaders expressed grief and shared condolences.  Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu took to Twitter and said, “’Bojjala’s death is a huge loss to the Telugu Desam Party. Peace be upon the Holy Spirit of the barren. I extend my deepest condolences to the family.”

Furthermore, highlighting the life of Mr. Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, he started his career as a lawyer and joined the TDP as per the call of Mr. NTR, the founder of the TDP.  He even won five times as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Srikalahasti.   Mr. Bojjala Gopalakrishna contested as a TDP candidate from Srikalahasti in 1989, 1994, 1998, 2009, 2014 and won as an MLA.  From 1994-to 2004, he served as the Minister of Information Technology (IT) and the Minister of Roads and Buildings in the Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP cabinet, in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, when Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was one State.

On the other, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) also expressed his condolences over the demise of the TDP leader.  He said he had lost a political colleague and close friend who had worked with him during the TDP regime.
