The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) on the 11th of May, Wednesday, issued a yellow alert in Telangana. Under the alert, the Telugu State would witness summer rains from Thursday, the 12th of May, amid cyclone “Asani.”
It is to be noted, that the Capital of Telangana, Hyderabad is witnessing rainfall for the past few days. In addition, despite the weakening of the cyclone in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, the neighbouring state, Telangana.
The IMD Hyderabad said, For the next 48 hours, the city may see a partly cloudy sky. Thunder clouds are likely to develop towards evening/night.
As per the IMD notification, light to moderate rain or thundershowers would occur in several regions, starting from the 11th of May, to the 14th of May.
Yellow alerts have been issued in Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Adilabad, Kumaran Bheem, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Medak and Vikarabad districts.
