The two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana witnessed rise in temperature during the past two days.
In addition to the increased temperature, the states reported heat waves with more than 35° Celsius.
The highest temperatures were recorded in Andhra Pradesh’s coastal districts. In the wake of the increasing temperature, the Meteorological office predicted the temperature to be more than 40° Celsius in another week.
While East Godavari reported 38° Celsius, Visakhapatnam district recorded 36° temperature. The situation is similar in some other districts. Temperatures of up to 30 degrees were recorded in each district. Authorities are advising people to be vigilant and take appropriate precautions during summers.
Unlike every year, this time, Summers started early in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Beginning of March, when it is the official season of spring, these states are witnessing close to 31 ° Celsius.
On the other hand, in Telangana, today the temperature is 34°C. In Hyderabad, day temperatures from March the 12th to the 17th of March, are likely to vary from 36°C to 37° C.
