Mr. Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, looked at the chief ministers of the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
On the 21st of August, Sunday, Mr. Anurag Thakur said, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led the Andhra Pradesh Government into a mafia-running State. Mr. Anurag Thakur said that Andhra Pradesh is the “Home of the liquor mafia, sand mafia, land mafia, and drug mafia.”
In addition, speaking about the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Government, Mr. Anurag Thakur said, Telangana is the number one state in terms of corruption. In contrast, the Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh is the fourth state, as per Content Management System (CMS) India Corruption Study 2018.
Addressing the media at a public rally, Mr. Anurag Thakur said, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh should clean up the situation to avoid criticism against him and his Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government. Furthermore, Mr. Anurag Thakur also said, the two Telugu states are competing with each other in terms of corruption, as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are among the top states, in terms of crime.
Mr. Anurag Thakur also urged Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to keep young people drug-free and advised the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, not to play with their futures.
The statements of Mr. Anurag Thakur came during a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha rally in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The event was held on the 21st of August, Sunday, with the participation of leaders of the BJP unit in Andhra Pradesh.
