The Vivekananda murder case, which became a sensational issue in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, has been under investigation. Vivekananda Reddy was murdered on the 15th of March.

Srinivas Reddy, a relative of Vivekananda Reddy, who was suspected to be behind the murder, allegedly tried to commit suicide on the 2nd of September.

Srinivas Reddy attempted to commit suicide by swallowing some medicines and was rushed to a private hospital in Kadapa.  However, his attempt failed and he survived.

Srinivas Reddy also wrote a suicide note and alleged the AP Police for his suicide attempt, as they were calling and harassing Srinivas regarding the Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

Relatives of Srinivas said he attempted suicide after he called for several inquiries into the Vivekananda murder.  Parameshwar Reddy, the father of Srinivas Reddy, addressed the media and said his son is not involved in the murder and the Police are harassing him for no reason.

He further said, the AP Police even took Srinivas to Gujarat for narco tests.

The AP Police initiated an investigation regarding the suicide attempt.
