YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Conducts Meeting To Discuss Tirupati By Polls 

On the 19th of March, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) conducted a meeting over the Tirupati by elections.

Chaired by Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy, the meeting was attended by State ministers like Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Kodali Nani, Anil Kumar Yadav and Perni Nani. During the meeting, the leaders of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) discussed the strategies to be followed in the upcoming by elections.

From the YSRCP, Dr. Gurumurthy is named as the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate for the Tirupati Parliamentary Constituency.

Besides, the YSRCP, the TDP is also driven and determined to win the by elections and fielded former Union Minister and TDP leader Panabaka Lakshmi. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which is contesting the Tirupati elections with the support of the JanaSena Party is yet to announce its candidate.

The Tirupati Parliamentary constituency, a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved seat fell vacant after the YSRCP MP Balli Durga Prasad succumbed to the Novel Coronavirus.

The Tirupati by elections are scheduled to be held on the 17th of April. The counting of the votes would be held on the 2nd of May.
