Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) on the 8th of March, Tuesday, introduced a condolence resolution on the death of Mekapati Goutham Reddy.
Recently, the Andhra Pradesh Information Technology (IT) Minister Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy passed away due to a cardiac arrest, in Hyderabad.
On behalf of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, the State Chief Minister introduced the resolution in the ongoing A.P., Budget Session 2022. While introducing the resolution, CM Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, Goutham Reddy has been a good friend of him since childhood and they could not digest the untimely death. He recalled that Goutham Reddy had stood by him on many occasions, discharged his responsibilities efficiently and had played a key role in bringing new companies into the State.
Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav said, “We were shocked to hear the news of his death and could not digest the tragedy.” With the resolution to mourn Mr. Goutham Reddy’s death, all the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) and others expressed their condolences in the budget session.
The Chief Minister assured that the barrage works would be completed in 6 weeks. He further announced that the YSRCP Government would rename Sangam Barrage after Mekapati Gautam Reddy.
Meanwhile, the ongoing Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session 2022-2023, which started from the 7th of March would continue till the 25th of March. In addition, Mr. Buganna Rajender Reddy, the Finance Minister of Andhra Pradesh, would introduce the State Budget on the 11th of March.
