Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 28th of December, visited Visakhapatnam to launch several projects.
Mr. Rao during his one day visit inaugurated a welfare scheme and development projects worths Rs. 950.50 crores.
The schemes and projects were launched under the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC.)
Besides, work under GVMC, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched another project which amounts to Rs. 379.82 crores under the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA.)
Mr. Rao left for Visakhapatnam in a special flight around 2:00 P.M. His first destination was Kailasagiri, where he launched development project worth Rs. 40 crores, following which he inaugurated YSR City Central Park’s flower exhibition.
Later around 5:30 P.M., A.P., CM Jagan Mohan Reddy officially inaugurated Visakha Utsav 2019. The Visakha Utsav is a two day event organised at the RK Beach by the Andhra Pradesh tourism. The two day fest would exhibit Art and culture with various workshops and fun activities.
While the opening ceremony witnessed folkstyle and classical dance events, the other events include laser show musical performances by classical musicians, singers and others.
On the 29th of December, the two day carnival would witness hoverboard dance by ‘Aata’ Sandeep, live band music and an archery show.
Biswa Bhushan Harichandan, the Governor of A.P., would attend the event on the 29th of December, as the Chief Guest.
Celebrities from the Telugu film industry, politicians and YSRCP leaders would participate in the event.
