Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 25th of August, Thursday, released the fourth instalment of the YSR Netanna Nestham scheme.

During the event at the Pedana region of the Krishna district, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, with this scheme, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government is working for the welfare of all communities in the State.

Under the YSR Nestanna Nestham scheme, the State Government would provide financial assistance of Rs. 24,000 to each handloom weaver in the State.

Furthermore, during the event, Mr.  Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that in the past, no government had stood by the handloom sector.  During the 2018 Assembly padayatra, Mr. Y.S. It is to be noted, the YSRCP Government, so far has provided Rs.776.13 crores under the YSR Nestanna Nestham Scheme.  He said that in these four years, we have provided assistance of Rs.96,000 to each family.

Due to the implementation of the scheme, the income of the weavers has increased three times.  In addition, the YSRCP Government also entered into agreements with e-commerce companies and marketing handloom garments through share holders’ agreements.

Taking a dig at Chandrababu, he said that the then government gave priority to only one category, whereas the YSRCP is providing beneficial schemes to all communities like the Scheduled Castes (SC,) the Scheduled Tribes (STs) and the Backward Class (BCs.)

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said,  “70% of the cabinet has SC, ST, BC and Minorities and four BCs sent to the Rajya Sabha in three years.”  Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also said, the BC Commission has been formed permanently to address the issues of such communities in the State.
