Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, disbursed Rs. 508 crores under the YSR Kapu Nestam Scheme.
On the 29th of July, Friday, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) released the amount, benefiting 3,38,792 women belonging to Kapu community across the State.
The third installment of Kapu Nestham has been released at Gollaprolu village of Pithapuram mandal in Kakinada district, during an event.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the State Government has spent Rs. 32,296 crores for Kapu community through various welfare schemes in the last three years. He further stated that his YSRCP Government is working for the welfare of every social group along with the Kapus, and even if it is not mentioned in the manifesto, the YSR Kapu Nestham is being implemented.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, it is a God given opportunity to deposit money directly into the accounts of three lakh women today, the 29th of July.
He was speaking at the YSR Kapu Nestam fund release program held at Gollaprolu in Pithapuram constituency of Kakinada district.
Furthermore, launched in June 2020, the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme is beneficial for the women of the Kapu Community (Kapu, Balija, Ontari and Telaga) in A.P. Under the scheme, the YSRCP Government provides financial assistance to women between the age group of 45 to 60 years. Each woman would get an amount of Rs. 15,000 per annum to enhance their living standards and support themselves economically.
