Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) would inaugurate the “Van Mahotsavam” program.
The inauguration event is scheduled to be held on the 22nd of July at the camp office of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Tadepalli.
The State Rural Development Department is planning to plant one crore saplings during the Vana Mahotsavam program in A.P.,this year.
As part of the program, the authorities have decided to plant 70 lakh saplings on both sides of 12,721 km of roads and 30 lakh saplings at the land, which would be given to the poor under the housing welfare programme in A.P.
Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, Chief Secretary, Rural Development Department, directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Vanna Mahotsava by the 20th of July.
The Van Mahotsav programme is an annual event organised to create awareness regarding the decreasing number of trees and the importance of planting more trees.
The Van Mahotsav programme organised by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is a way to encourage people to plant trees.
