On the 15th of April, Friday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh would attend the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Sita.
According to sources, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta, YSR Kadapa district, and attend the event, scheduled to be held on Friday night. On this occasion, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister would present silk garments to the deities on behalf of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government. It is to be noted, that the event was not celebrated in the past two years, due to the outbreak of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
However, this time the event would be witnessed by several devotees. In regard to this, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has made arrangements to make the event, which is being celebrated on a large scale, a huge success. The Mithila Mandapam is ready for the Kalyanotsavam which would be held from 8:00 P.M., to 10:00 P.M.
