The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government took a key decision regarding the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or class Xth examination 2021.

On the 27th of May, the Andhra Pradesh Government decided to postpone the SSC exams in the wake of the Wuhan virus. Considering the rising number of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, the YSRCP delayed the exams. Initially the SSC exams were scheduled to begin from the 7th of June in Andhra Pradesh.

Adimulapu Suresh, the Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh announced the postponed exams. However, he clarified that the State Government is firm to conduct the examination. He said, “Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is firm on holding SSC and Intermediate exams keeping the future of students in mind.”

The decision came after the A.P., HC reviewed a petition filed against the conduct of SSC examination. Recently, a teacher from Srikakulam district has filed a petition in the A.P., HC, seeking the conduct of the examinations after teachers get doses of COVID-19 vaccination.

The High Court reviewed the case and directed the State Government to state its position. Responding to the HC, an advocate representing the YSRCP Government said, they (Government) already decided to postpone the exams until further notice.

However, the HC asked the State Government to submit a written report and adjourned the case to the 18th of June.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Government decided to conduct a meeting in July to discuss the SSC examination 2021. Until the next scheduled meeting, there would be online classes for class Xth students.

Stay tuned for further updates.
