The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) on the 25th of September, transferred Surendra Babu, the Managing Director (MD) of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC.)
The decision came after the merger of the RTC with the Andhra Pradesh Government. Recently, the YSRCP Government initiated the merger.
Surendra Babu is an Indian Public Service (IPS) officer of the 1987 batch.
Krishna Babu, the Head of the Transport Ministry in the State, was given additional responsibilities as the APSRTC MD. As of now, Surendra Babu was transferred without any new posting and was asked to report to the Director General of Police (DGP.)
Apart from Surendra Babu, Srinivasa Srinaresh, the Secretary of the Handloom and Textile Ministry in AP, was also transferred. He was asked to report to the Department of General Administration (DGA.)
The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government also appointed J.N.V. Subramaniam as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Economic Development Board of Andhra Pradesh.
