The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Mr. Y.S. Konda Reddy has been under arrest for threat allegations.
On the 9th of May, Monday, the Andhra Pradesh Police arrested the YSRCP leader Mr. Y.S. Konda Reddy after a contractor had complained to the police. According to the complainant, Mr. Konda Reddy, who was Kadapa District in charge, allegedly obstructed the road construction works of the SRK construction company. The contractor mentioned in the complaint that the leader demanded money for works in the Chakrayapeta Mandal.
Acting upon the complaint, the Chakrayapeta police station registered first information (FIR) and arrested him following the contractor complaint. The Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Anburajan said Konda Reddy was arrested on Monday morning and produced in court.
The SP warned that whoever commits threats and corruption should not be ignored and said Kondareddy’s arrest is an example of how the government is very serious about corruption.
Meanwhile, SRK Construction belongs to the BJP leader in Karnataka. After receiving the complaint of the BJP leader, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh also took a serious note and ordered an investigation against the YSRCP leader Mr. Y.S. Konda Reddy.
As of now, Mr. Y.S. Konda Reddy has been remanded in Kadapa jail and further investigation is underway.
