After the Supreme Court (SC) granted bail to Raghurama Krishna Raju, his bail process is still likely to be delayed.
According to sources, Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju is currently at the Military Hospital and is yet to be released. The lawyers of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Member of Parliament (MP) did not receive the bail order copy, following which, his bail process is being delayed.
Once the bail order is received from the Apex Court, the advocates of Raghurama Krishna Raju have to produce the papers before the Sixth Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Guntur. After the same, the Military Hospital of Guntur would release the YSRCP.
On the 21st of May, the Supreme Court (SC) granted bail to the Member of Parliament (MP) of Andhra Pradesh Raghurama krishna Raju.
The MP was arrested in a sedition case on the 14th of May. Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju called out to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and demanded a cancellation of bail against the YSRCP Chief Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr. Raju was arrested from his residence in Hyderabad for allegedly acting in a way detrimental to the prestige of the State Government. He was registered under Sections 124A (sedition,) 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups) and 505 (conducting public mischief) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
He appealed for bail in the Supreme Court, after being rejected from the Andhra Pradesh High Court. On the 17th of May, the Supreme Court heard the bail plea of Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju and ordered a fresh medical examination. At the last hearing, held on the 21st of May, the SC granted the YSRCP MP the bail and ordered his release.
Despite being given bail, due to the delay in paperwork, Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju is likely to be released by the 24th of May. However, an official announcement regarding his release is yet to be made.
