Seven states are conducting the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha elections on the 6th of May across India.
The states will contest a total of 51 Parliamentary seats in the Lok Sabha elections. The elections began at 7:00 A.M., and will continue till 6:00 P.M.
Approximately 668 candidates are in the fray to contest the 51 Lok Sabha seats in the 7 states. Out of 668, 79 candidates are women contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
In all the Parliamentary constituencies, a total of 8.75 crore voters are eligible to vote in this phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The Election Commission of India (ECI) set up a total of 96,000 polling stations across India in all the Parliamentary constituencies.

Ministers such as Rajnath Singh, Mayawati Das, Akhilesh Yadav and others performed their responsibility and cast their votes in their respective booths.

The Lok Sabha elections are divided into 7 phases, scheduled on the 11th of April, 18th of April, 23rd of April, 29th of April, 6th of May, 12th of May and the 19th of May.
On the 11th, 18th, 23rd and the 29th of April, the Indian states contested a total of 377 seats in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
The major parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
The results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
