The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration.
On the 15th of June, Wednesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 8,822 new Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) In addition, the Health Ministry also reported 15 fatalities and 5,718 recovered cases in the past 24 hours.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Wednesday, India has a total tally of 4,32,45,517 Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,26,67,088 are recovered/discharged cases, 53,637 are active cases and 5,24,792 death cases, till date. The new cases were confirmed after conducting 4,40,278 sample tests for the Wuhan virus, taking the tally to 85.58 crore till date.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.12% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.66% with a 1.21% fatality rate.
With the new cases, there has been an increase of 3,089 in the active Wuhan virus cases in just 24 hours. Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 195.50 crore vaccine doses.
