Hyderabad: Veteran actress Jyothi Lakshmi passed away on Monday midnight in Chennai. She was 63 and breathed her last at a hospital in the city. The yesteryear actor was undergoing treatment for cancer. She was a popular actor in the ‘70s.
Jyothi Lakshmi made her debut with Tamil drama “Periya Idathu Penn” that stars Saroja Devi and M.G. Ramachandran in the leads. She was a trained dancer and managed to make a special place in all the four South Indian languages with her work and skills.
