Enchanted the audience with the excellent story telling, acting and singing skills, ‘Big B’ Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the king of Bollywood is now making an official debut as a music composer.
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan will be giving a melodious tune for the end title track of director Mr. R. Balki’s film Chup, set to release on the 23rd of September 2022. Known for his originality in his stories and story telling, for unexplored themes in a commercial format and great execution, Chup is filmmaker Mr. R. Balki’s most ambitious film till date. It is a romantic psychopath thriller, a thought the director had after Cheeni Kum and decided to write it much later.
Another major reason for Chup being special for Mr. R. Balki said, “Chup is special for more than one reason. For me the biggest reason is it marks the official debut of Amitabh Bachchan as a music composer. Amitji saw Chup and played an instinctive original melody on his piano as he relived the film. It was his way of expressing his feelings for the film, paying a tribute. This composition, his gift to the film, will be the end title track of Chup. I don’t think there can be an artist whose sensitivity can beat Bachchan’s and ‘Chup’ has his touch!!!”
Speaking of the cast of the film, Chup has Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, the south superstar, Shreya Dhanwanthary, who made a mark for herself with Scam 1992 and Pooja Bhatt, who recently made a massive comeback with Netflix Original’s Bombay Begums.
Directed by Mr. R. Balki, Chup is produced by Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Mr. Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios) and Ms. Gauri Shinde. The original story is by Mr. R. Balki, the screenplay and dialogues have been co written by Mr. R. Balki, critic turned writer Mr. Raja Sen and Mr. Rishi Virmani.
Furthermore, tghe Director of Photography is by Mr. Vishal Sinha and music directors are Mr. S.D. Burman, Mr. Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanwalkar and Aman Pant. Lyrics are by Sahir Ludhianvi, Kaifi Azmi, Swanand Kirkire.
