Mumbai: If reports are to be believed, actor Shahid Kapoor might play the role of Deepika Padukone’s husband in the upcoming film “Padmavati” under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
According to buzz, Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the forthcoming epic drama. “Bhansali wants Shahid to play the Chittor King who is married to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh,” as per reports.
The role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in “Padmavati” is the latest talk of town as it heard that the makers planned to star television actor for the role but then Deepika refused to share screen space with him. If all goes well, the “Padmavati” marks the first collaboration of Shahid with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer.
