Mani Ratnam is back with a Tamil film titled Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (Dark Red Sky.) The film will star Silambarasan, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay and Jyothika as the lead roles. The musical score will be done by the talented A. R. Rahman.
The film’s poster was released yesterday by the director’s production banner Madras Talkies. The film will release in Telugu as well and titled Nawab. The film will also see famous stars like Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Ramesh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mansoor Ali Khan, Thyagarajan and Jaya Sudha. It was earlier rumored that Fahadh Fazil would also be part of the movie but seems to have not made the cut.
The shooting for the film will begin on the 12th of February. Mani Ratnam is known for giving us thought provoking films like Guru, Roja, Thalapathi and Iruvar.
