In a prestigious moment for team RRR and director S.S. Rajamouli, the Tollywood film, RRR released in March 2022, bagged an award at the Golden Globes 2023, in Los Angeles.
On the 11th of January, Wednesday, the Natu Natu song of RRR, won the award for best original song. The film RRR is competing in two categories, the first is the best original song and the other one is the best non English language film.
Although the RRR team could not win the other category, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s Natu Natu sonsong secured an award for the directorial of S.S. Rajamouli at the Golden Globes Award 2023. The best non English film award was given to Argentina 1985, directed by Santiago Mitre.
After the win of the Tollywood film at the LA event, Megastar Chiranjeevi lauded the team and tweeted, “What a Phenomenal, Historic Achievement !!!! Golden Globes Best Original Song – Motion Picture Award to @mmkeeravaani garu !! Take a Bow! Heartiest Congratulations Team @RRRMovie & @ssrajamouli!! India is proud of you! #NaatuNaatu.”
Bollywood King Mr. Shah Rukh Khan also shared a congratulatorycongratulations tweet which read, “Sir just woke up and started dancing to Naatu Naatu celebrating your win at Golden Globes. Here’s to many more awards & making India so proud!!”
Pop Singer Rihanna also blew a kiss to the RRR team for the win at the event and congratulated them for winning the best original song category.
