On the 19th of April, Tuesday, popular Tollywood producer and the president of the Telugu Film Chamber Mr. Narayan Das Narang passed away. He was admitted at Star Hospital and was suffering from prolonged illness. He was 76 year old.
The news of Mr. Narayan Das Narang was confirmed by the tweet of Mr. Taran Adarsh, the Indian Film Critic and Trade Analyst. He took to Twitter and said, “xtremely sad to hear about the demise of Shri #NarayanDasNarang ji, a hugely respected personality of the #Telugu film industry… #NarayanDas ji was Chairman of #AsianGroup and an eminent producer, exhibitor and financier… Deepest condolences to his family… Om Shanti.”
Highlighting the cinematic career of Mr. Narayan Das Narang, he started his career in the 1980s and produced over 650 movies in his career of 40 years. He is also the owner of Asian Cinemas which is one of the most popular multiplex chains in India. Through his SVCLLP Production House, Mr. Narang Das produced many movies. His recently produced movie was Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story and Naga Shourya’s Lakshya. Mr. Narang Das also produced Nagarjuna’s The Ghost and Shekar Kammula’s D 46.
Upon hearing the demise of Mr. Narayan Das, the top celebrities and Tollywood starts expressing grief, mourning the loss of the Telugu Film Industry. Tollywood’s ace actors like Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu and a few others mourned his demise and dropped their condolences messages on social media.
Meanwhile, the last rites of Mr. Narayan Das Narang is scheduled to be held on the 19th of April, in Hyderabad. He is survived by his son Sunil Narang who is also a leading film producer and exhibitor in the Telugu Film Industry.
