Hyderabad: The remake of Tamil drama “Thani Oruvan” in Tollywood is the talk of the town. The tinsel town was abuzz with the remake version and then the makers have announced it officially. The film features Mega power star Ram Charan in a lead role.
Now, reports surfaced online that the actress Ileana D’Cruz will be seen romancing Ram Charan in the action thriller. According to reports, the movie makers have approached the Goan beauty for the romantic lead role opposite Ram Charan. It is heard that the talks are underway. However, an official announcement is still awaited.
Filmmaker Surender Reddy will direct the movie in the Telugu, which is yet-to-be-titled. As Ileana already worked with the Surender Reddy in the super film “Kick”, the makers are planning to rope in the actress. An ace producer of Telugu film industry, DVV Danayya bagged the remake rights of the Kollywood movie for a mammoth amount. If everything falls in place, the regular shooting is expected to commence soon.
“Thani Oruvan” is a recent sensation on Tamil silver screens. Directed by Mohan Raja, the mind racing thriller stars Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara and Arvind Swamy in lead roles. The film re-created the box office collections and became a blockbuster hit.
