Hyderabad: Director Ram Gopal Varma has roped in actress Naina Ganguly to play an important role as Ratnakumari, wife of Vangaveeti Ranga, in his much-talked-about upcoming film “Vangaveeti“. Touted to be an action thriller and most controversial subject, film is based on a true story of Vijayawada.
Recently, the filmmaker revealed the first look poster of the lead actor, who will be seen playing the title role as Vangaveeti Rangi.
RGV said, “Ratnakumari came to the limelight after Ranga’s murder. But I was in search of an actress, who can carry the role with great emotions.”
The regular shooting of the movie is expected to begin from March 20 in Mumbai. It is heard that the team is working on the research part as the Vijayawada changed a lot. The art team is planning to construct the same set in Mumbai.
