Popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, known as the “Flying Beast” has been arrested for violating section 144 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC,) imposed in Noida.
Notably, YouTuber Gaurav Taneja and his wife Ritu Rathee Taneja invited fans to celebrate Gaurav’s birthday, on the 9th of July. Taneja and his wife Ritu allegedly booked a metro coach and invited followers of the Flying Beast to celebrate Gaurav’s birthday, which created a ruckus at Noida’s Sector 51 metro station.
There was a stampede due to the rush, but no casualties were reported. The Noida Sector 49 Police later reached the spot and calmed the travelers and Gaurav’s fans. Viral videos show hundreds of people crowding metro premises and nearby roads to get a glimpse of Gaurav.
Per a report, Section 144 of the CrPc was imposed and Gaurav was taken into custody for violating rules. Gaurav was kept in police custody for two hours before he was arrested under Section 241 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and Section 188 (disobedience to an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
