Lahore: As many as four terrorists were killed in an encounter in the wee hours of Monday in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The terrorists were killed in an encounter with the law enforcement agencies. The attack also injured two policemen and seven others. The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital.
Acting on tip-off, the police and intelligent agencies launched a search operation in Racha Town Khan colony in Sheikhupura district, according to spokesperson.
The spokesperson said that terrorists opened fire on the police commandos when they saw them and three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire and another one blew himself up. The police added that two others were caught and were taken for interrogation to an undisclosed location. The police also recovered scores of bullets, five kalashnikovs, three suicide jackets, one rocket launcher and maps of important places. The investigation is underway.
