Kathmandu: On Thursday night, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Nepal, according to media reports. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Sindhupalchowk district, according to Nepal’s National Seismological Centre. No reports of casualties or damage have been reported so far.

Sindhupalchowk was one of the districts, which faced massive damage during the powerful quake in April. Thursday’s quake is considered as an aftershock of the devastating quake of April, which claimed more than 8,500 lives and caused irreparable damage to the nation. Almost every day, Nepal is experiencing over three to four mild tremors since the major earthquake that shook the nation.
