Komarada: Komarada town witnessed an unconventional protest led by CPM leaders demanding urgent repairs for the dilapidated road from Parvathipuram to Kuneru in Komarada Mandal. The road, riddled with potholes, has long been a cause of concern for residents and commuters, despite repeated appeals to the Vaikapa government over the past five years.

Recently, members of Odisha’s Lorry Union stepped in to temporarily fill the potholes, but with the onset of recent rains, the conditions worsened. The situation reached a boiling point when CPM district executive member Kolli Sambamurthy staged a symbolic protest on Tuesday. Sambamurthy demonstrated his frustration by rolling in the mud and using leaves to draw attention to the dire state of the roads.

The road in question serves as a crucial artery for thousands of vehicles traveling to Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and other parts of the state. Commuters and local leaders have jointly urged immediate action to repair the road, emphasizing its vital role in regional connectivity and economic activity.
