A Court confirmed today that RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s sentence time will be announced tomorrow. Yadav was brought from Birsa Munda Central Jail amid tight security to attend the sentencing in the Fodder Scam Case.
As soon as the sentencing began the Court issued a contempt notice to Yadav’s son Tejashwi and RJD leader Raghubansh Prasad Singh for speaking against the Court. A number of RJD members along with Yadav’s family gathered at the Court.
The Court postponed the hearing after the lawyers were absent due to a condolence meet at the bar association. The RJD members hope their Chief Yadav is sentenced to three years imprisonment. If the Court sentences Yadav to three years in prison he can apply for bail immediately.
Yadav has been in jail since the 23rd of December after the Court convicted him and 15 others in the Fodder Scam Case. More information is awaited and will be soon updated.
