Hyderabad: Minister Harish Rao has raised strong objections to the claims made by CM Revanth Reddy regarding the proposed industrial corridor in Lagachar. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Rao criticized the Congress party’s handling of the issue, especially after the party’s loss in the Maharashtra assembly elections. He pointed out that while the government had originally announced a pharma city in the area through a gazette notification on July 19, the terminology was later changed to “industrial corridor” after facing public opposition.
Rao urged CM Revanth Reddy to release a new gazette under the correct name of the industrial corridor and to engage directly with the people of Lagachar to clarify the government’s plans. He also addressed concerns about the Kaleshwaram project, questioning the feasibility of diverting 20 TMC of fresh water from Kaleshwaram to Hyderabad.
The minister emphasized that the government should refrain from using the police to file illegal cases and instead focus on transparency and democratic dialogue with the public.
