Due to the rains in Hyderabad, a local died in a fatal road accident. The city of Hyderabad experienced heavy rains on Wednesday night that followed through Thursday. The victim was identified as Srinivas a 37 year old resident of Kachiguda.
The police reported, “He was heading from his work place in Golnaka to his home at Nimboliadda, when his bike skid on the slippery road after last evening’s rains.”
The police registered a case and are investigating. The victim’s body was taken to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem.
The overnight rains lashed the city resulting in massive traffic jams due to water logging. The Indian Meteorological Department issued a two day warning. The rains are likely to continue through Thursday as a low pressure is forming in the Bay of Bengal.
The GHMC monsoon teams are clearing water stagnated in Mehdipatnam, IS Sadan and Malakpet. Some schools and colleges declared a holiday to avoid inconveniences. GHMC officials have instructed its department to stay alert and keep roads from flooding.
