Hyderabad: The much-awaited 37th Hyderabad Book Fair (HBF) is set to take place from December 19 to 29 at NTR Stadium, Ramnagar. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the event, announced Dr. Yakub Sheikh, President of HBF, during a press conference held on Wednesday.
The book fair will feature 350 stalls, showcasing books from over 210 publishers and distributors across the country. The event promises to be a cultural feast, with the premises named after prominent literary figures such as Mahakavi Dasarathi Krishnamacharyulu, the venue for author programs named after Boi Vijayabharati, and the book launch space titled Topubandi Sadik.
Dr. Yakub Sheikh highlighted the diverse attractions planned, including food stalls offering Telangana flavors, cultural programs, special activities for children, and medical camps. An advisory committee comprising retired Supreme Court Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy, MLC Professor Kodandaram, Senior Journalist K. Ramachandramurthy, and Professor Rama Melkote has been formed to ensure the fair’s success.
HBF General Secretary R. Srinivas (Vasu), Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, Vice President Bal Reddy, and Telangana State Language and Culture Department Director Harikrishna also participated in the press briefing.
