KCR's Call For Third Front: Mamata, Pawan And Owaisi Agree

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao made a call for a Third Front in the political field. Currently, the political battle involves two major parties, Congress and BJP. The Third Front would be a third option for voters instead choosing between the Left and the Right.

On Saturday, KCR held a press conference at Pragathi Bhavan where he said the Country was fed up with the present political system. He further added he would play an active part to make this change.

KCR said, “The Country has to move in a new direction. People should think about it otherwise we will remain the same. How long we will hear stories of the progress in the U.S., and China? Change should come in the people. The tools for this change could be coalition, front, or anything.”

The Telangana CM explained the BJP and Congress were in power for almost 70 years collectively. But there has been no qualitative changes to India.

To support his argument KCR questioned, “Qualitative change is not taking place in both the regimes. What has happened so far is unsatisfactory. Why are there Naxalites in this Country? Why is there so much unrest? Why are there social fights everywhere? Why are Dalits and Tribals fighting?”

KCR concluded with, “I am 64. If I can help bring the change and serve the country for few years, I will definitely do it.”

After he made the call for a new national political formation in India, a number of politicians extended their support. The Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee called KCR and said she was on his side to change the country’s politics.

All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi decided to follow KCR. He said, “I welcome Telangana CM’s statement and he rightly stated that people of the Country are fed up with BJP governance and Congress is not a viable option, neither can it become one.” Owaisi also praised KCR for his exemplary governance in Telangana for the past 4 years.

Even actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan extended support to KCR’s proposal. The Jana Sena Party Chief agreed and stated this was the change required for the Country’s prosperity.
