Poonam Sinha, a Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of the Samajwadi Party (SP,) is the richest candidate contesting the Lok Sabha elections in 5th phase.
The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections will be held on the 6th of May 2019.
Poonam Sinha, an actor turned politician, is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow constituency, in Uttar Pradesh.
While filing nominations, Sinha declared assets to the tune of Rs. 193 crores, which makes her the richest candidate in the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The National Election Watch (NEW) and the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) declared the names of the richest candidates contesting in the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
After Poonam Sinha, Vijay Kumar Mishra, the MP candidate of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) from Sitapur is on the list. Mr. Kumar with an assets of Rs. 177 crores is the second richest candidate in the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
Approximately 7 states will contest during the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha elections. All the polls for this phase will be open on the 6th of May. The 7 states will contest a total of 51 seats for these elections.
The major parties contesting for the Lok Sabha elections are the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
The results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
