A shocking news surfaced of a businessman setting a teacher on fire in front of her students in a government school. The man had absconded after the incident and was found dead after committing suicide on Friday.
Renukaradhya, a 53 year old liquor businessman was found dead near a guesthouse near Dharmasthala.
The police officer in charge reported, “They found the car parked near the Dharmasthala temple guesthouse. Upon questioning the guesthouse staff, it was revealed he had rented a room there. The Dharmasthala police found him hanging from the ceiling fan in the room.”
On Wednesday, the businessman had set Sunanda 50 a year old teacher on fire in Magadi taluk.
The two were former business partners and the Magadi police remember them as the duo had been fighting over financial issues and had involved the police.
On Thursday, the investigation team headed by DSP S. Purushottam visited Renukadharya’s house to find him but he was not there.
S. Purushottam said, “His family was shocked to hear about the incident and said they did not know where he had gone.”
The team managed to track down Renukadharya’s car as the GPS of the car was on. The police informed the Dharmasthala police to track down the car which was when the body was found. The police did not find a suicide note at the guesthouse.
The investigation officer said, “He was found hanging from a red towel and a rope in room number 21 of the Prarthan Poojya guesthouse. The time of death has been pegged between 11 P.M., and 6 A.M., in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.”
On Friday, Sunanda was shifted to Victoria Hospital as her condition continues to remain serious with 60% burns on her body.
