In yet another case of the fog, a dozen people were injured after several vehicles collided on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway due to the dense fog. The police reported the incident happened on Tuesday morning on the Expressway near Unnao.
Nearly 10 cars collided with each other due to the reduced visibility in Uttar Pradesh. The poor visibility also affected railway services in the State. Due to the fog, 18 trains were canceled, 28 were delayed and 3 were rescheduled.
The Officials reported a number of people were injured in the accident. Additional Superintendent of Police Ambrish Bhadauria explained, “Pile up of around a dozen vehicles took place early this morning on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Jogikot village under Bangarmau police station. Around a dozen people have sustained injuries in the accident.” He further added, “The injured persons were administered first aid at the community health center in Bangarmau, and were subsequently sent home.”
In the past two months, this is the second accident due to low visibility on the Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. The previous accident happened on the 8th of November. A video of multiple cars ramming into each other went viral on the internet.
