Actor Prakash Raj will be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
Prakash Raj, on Monday, took to Twitter to officially announce that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections. The constituency which he will represent in the elections is not announced yet.

The actor, who is against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) will contest as an independent candidate. The actor turned politician began his political activities last year during the Karnataka Assembly elections. He started a campaign, #JustAsking, with a motive to increase awareness among the public regarding the importance of asking questions.
Speaking about the Narendra Modi led BJP, Mr. Raj said, “They say I am anti-Hindu but I say I am anti-Modi, anti-Amit Shah and anti-Hegde.”
Prakash Raj’s official announcement regarding his candidature drew a lot of positive response from his fans and political leaders and they congratulated him regarding the same.
Recently, Kamal Haasan also declared, his party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) will contest the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for April 2019. The major parties which will contest the elections are the Congress party and the BJP.
