Popular Jain Monk, Tarun Sagar passed away early this morning in Delhi. The monk was only 51 years old and died after battling jaundice. Sagar passed away at around 3:00 A.M., at the Radhapuri Jain Temple in Krishna Nagar area in East Delhi.
Tarun Sagar was hugely famous with a massive following from the Jain community. Reports stated that Sagar was admitted to a private hospital after being diagnosed with jaundice.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about the untimely death of Sagarand said Tarun would be, “remembered for his rich ideals and contribution to society.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted about the monk’s death. He said, “Pained to hear the sad demise of Muni Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj. His teachings and ideals will always inspire humanity.”
Tarun Sagar was born in Damoh District in Madhya Pradesh on the 26th of June 1967. His birth name from his parents was Pawan Kumar Jain but Sagar changed it after he became a monk.
This monk was respected among many Indian politicians including PM Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
