The Telangana Government, similar to their move during the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, took certain measures to ensure the safety of women voters in the upcoming Telangana Lok Sabha elections.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) issued an order, following which, every Parliamentary constituency in Telangana will have a polling station dedicated to women.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) also deployed women officers at the polling stations in Hyderabad.
The polling centres will be arranged at Musheerabad, Malakpet, Amberpet, Khairathabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampally, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura, Secunderabad and Cantonment in Hyderabad.
Telangana will contest a total of 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to be held on the 11th of April.
The major parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana are the TRS, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
The results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be declared on the 23rd of May 2019.
