Kuppam (Chittoor dist), June 25: Chief Minister and TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu affirmed that the National Democratic Alliance Government will prioritize welfare and accelerate state development. During his two-day visit to Kuppam, his home constituency, Naidu inspected the unfinished Handri-Neeva Srujala Sravanthi canal and paid tribute to TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao.
Addressing a large public gathering, Naidu acknowledged the current government’s challenges but promised swift and progressive actions. He criticized the previous YSRCP rule as corrupt and a nightmare, announcing plans to publish white papers on affected sectors and to issue new farmer passbooks, excluding images of YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Naidu emphasized his strong connection to Kuppam, having been elected from the constituency eight times, and expressed his lifelong commitment to its development. He assured the completion of the Handri-Neeva canal to ensure water supply and criticized the former government’s mismanagement of welfare funds.
The Chief Minister also pledged to uplift living standards, citing the election of highly educated candidates and the inclusion of 17 new MLAs in the Cabinet. He promised support for farmers, employment for youth, and the transformation of Kuppam into an educational hub. Naidu thanked local TDP leaders and DWCRA groups for their donations towards building the state capital.
