The U.S., President-elect Donald Trump, has formed a transition team and laid out a 100 days plan before swearing in as the President of United States and taking the oval office on January 20. One of the major points in this was the control on the misuse of U.S.A., work visa program. He released a statement regarding the outsourcing of jobs and stated that all the U.S., based companies that outsource their jobs will have to face consequences.
The U.S.A., government opens H-1B visa applications yearly once, mostly in the month of April. These H-1B visas have a limit and are the applicants are selected through a random lottery process. This year the limit for H-1B visas was 65,000 and following the trend from last many years, these have been fulfilled in five days flat in the month of April. However, these work visas are highly controversial and are often blamed for rising unemployment in the United States. There have been many bills passed in the last few years that have attempted to prohibit companies from misusing these visa application.
There has been a constant rise in the rejection rate of H-1B visas filed by companies. The list names all those companies that are disqualified from applying for H-1B visas under willful violation act. that now prohibits the provision of H-1B visa to immigrants and limits the jobs to Americans.
