Omaha: Jacqueline Eide, 33, was hospitalized on Sunday after being bitten by a tiger when she broke into the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska, police said. Jacqueline Eide went into the the predator’s cage after she allegedly entered Henry Doorly Zoo IN Omaha, Nebraska, early Sunday, few hours after the Halloween.
Eide suffered a severe trauma on her left hand, the Omaha Police Department said in a statement. She was soon rushed to hospital by a friend, where police said Edie was aggressive and showed signs of intoxication by alcohol or drugs. She was cited for criminal trespass and remained at the hospital for treatment Sunday.
The tiger involved was said to be an 18-year-old Malayan tiger called Mai, according to the zoo. The incident was still under investigation Sunday.
“Just in case you had any doubt … If you pet a tiger you will most likely get bitten,” the Omaha Police Department said on Facebook.
