Florida: At least two people were killed and over a dozen others suffered injures in a shooting outside of Florida nightclub early Monday, officials said. Gunshots were fired in the parking lot of Club Blu in Fort Myers at around 12:30 a.m.
Police said “at least 14-16 people” were wounded in the shooting, with their injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening. “The Fort Myers Police Department and Lee County Sheriff’s Office are actively canvassing the area looking for other persons who may be involved in this incident,” a statement added. “At this time the scene is still very active as investigators and crime scene personnel attempt to determine what occurred.”
The police are in search of the suspect in two different locations. The authorities confirmed that they have arrested one person in connection with the shooting.
