On the 4th of July, Team West Indies won the One Day International (ODI) match against Afghanistan.

In the 42nd ODI match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup, Team West Indies won by 23 runs at Headingley Carnegie, Leeds, England.

The ICC World Cup 2019, which started on the 30th of May and will continue till the 14th of July, is being hosted by England this year.

In yesterday’s match, Team West Indies performed well, with 311 runs and a loss of 6 wickets after 50 overs.  On the other hand, Team Afghanistan managed to score 288 runs and had a loss of 10 wickets after 50 overs.

In this World Cup series, Team Afghanistan lost all the 9 matches it played so far.

However, in the 42nd ODI match, Afghanistan gave a tough competition to West Indies.

Shai Hope, a player of Team West Indies, scored 77 runs off 92 balls and became the Man of the Match.

Before the semifinals, only 3 ODI matches are left.  The ODI matches are scheduled to be held on the 5th of July and the 6th of July.  There will be two matches on the 6th of July, one between Sri Lanka and India and another between Australia and South Africa.

On the 5th of July, there will be a match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at 3:00 P.M.

The final teams who are going to play in the semifinals are Australia, India, England and New Zealand.
