Women’s March and its Epic Placards

Less than a day after President Donald Trump took over the office, protests sparked across the World, led by the infuriated gender who saw many a taunts at the hands of a person who seems to be a soon-to-be tyrant. In the words of the stand up comedian and actor, Aziz Ansari, “Yesterday Trump was inaugurated, today an entire gender protested against him.”

The March’s core was at Washington D.C., where thousands of people gathered and protested against Trump and his atrocious standards of moral depravity. Those marching included celebrities such as Madonna and Ashley Judd who gave soul stirring speeches, charging up the atmosphere, while others walked in solidarity against a towering list of causes — feminism, healthcare, climate change, diversity and LGBTQ rights, to just name a few. Up also came the signs which ranged from fundamental to funny. Things like ‘IKEA has a better Cabinet‘ and ‘Trump don’t make fun of people who are different’ piqued our interest and here is a collection of some of those hilarious signs used during the protest.

All humour aside, Women’s March pointed at something graver – that the President of United States is not a job that you could do by tweeting out scathing replies or thinking impulsively. This is a call for major help and if Trump doesn’t rise to the occasion, we may well see America spiralling down the drain.
