Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Skillbee to provide specialized training to nursing students for employment opportunities in Germany and other European countries. The agreement aims to bridge the language gap and enhance job prospects for students in both public and private nursing institutions across the state.
Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, highlighted Germany’s urgent requirement for nurses, with an estimated three lakh vacancies. He expressed confidence that this collaboration would enable at least 1,000 nursing students from Andhra Pradesh to secure high-paying jobs in Germany annually. Through Skillbee’s training programs, students will gain proficiency in the German language, a key requirement for employment in European healthcare facilities.
Skillbee’s co-founder, Vinjamuri Ravichandra Gowtham, and CEO, Ujwal Chouhan, stated that their organization has already facilitated jobs for over 10,000 individuals worldwide. They emphasized their commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a skill hub by addressing language barriers and enhancing employment readiness.
The initiative will train over 4,000 nursing students across government and private colleges in Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam. APSDC officials, including Principal Secretary Kona Sasidhar and CEO Ganesh Kumar, attended the MoU signing event.
