Gudur: Former Chief Minister and TDP leader, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has launched a scathing attack on the delay in pension distribution, alleging a conspiracy within the ruling government led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Addressing media in Gudur, Kurnool district, Naidu expressed frustration over the underutilization of the considerable workforce available for the task.

With a substantial workforce including over 1.26 lakh secretariat staff and thousands more in various departments at the village level, Naidu argued that pension distribution could be expedited if properly managed. He accused the Chief Minister of prioritizing political gains over fulfilling responsibilities, claiming that the doorstep distribution of pensions was feasible but intentionally ignored.

Naidu lamented the tragic deaths of pensioners due to bureaucratic inefficiencies, labeling them as “official murders” and accusing officials of aiding the ruling party’s agenda. He stressed the importance of accountability and urged authorities to adhere to the Election Commission’s directives, ensuring governance efficiency even during election periods.

Pointing out government excuses for the delay, Naidu criticized officials, including Chief Secretary Jawahar Reddy, holding them accountable for administrative failures. He also raised concerns about transparency in pension distribution and advocated for direct bank transfers to prevent potential deductions.

As tensions escalate in Andhra Pradesh politics, Naidu’s allegations shed light on the significant governance challenges and the heightened political polarization leading up to the upcoming elections.
