Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reaffirmed his commitment to natural farming, healthcare, and technological advancements in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at the book launch of “Mantada to Manhattan” by renowned oncologist Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu in Vijayawada, Naidu announced plans to bring 50 lakh acres under natural farming and highlighted the state’s initiatives in cancer prevention and research.

Transforming Andhra Pradesh into a Natural Farming Hub

Naidu stressed that healthy food leads to disease prevention and that Andhra Pradesh will be a model for sustainable agriculture. “Our goal is to expand natural farming across 50 lakh acres in the next four years,” he stated.

Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu Appointed as Cancer Care Advisor

Recognizing Dr. Dattatreyudu’s contributions to oncology, Naidu appointed him as Government Advisor on Cancer Care. The state has launched ₹624 crore cancer screening programs, covering 1.49 crore people so far, detecting over 56,000 potential cases. Plans are underway to screen 2 crore women for breast cancer, with 77.53 lakh screenings completed.

Emphasis on Learning in Mother Tongue & Technological Advancements

Naidu reiterated that true knowledge comes from learning in one’s mother tongue, while English is essential only for communication. He also emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s focus on quantum computing, AI, and deep technology for future development.
